Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get junk email messages?
No, your information will never be sold to third-parties. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Is this a pyramid or matrix scheme?
Since there is no fee required to join our website, it is not considered a pyramid or matrix scheme. In a pyramid scheme, existing members are rewarded with fees paid by new members and the process is repeated continuously. Our site works on the affiliate marketing model – you basically become an affiliate of ours and we pass the commission on to you in the form of a free gift.
Can I join the site more than once?
Unfortunately, no. As stated in our Terms of Service, we only allow one account per person and only one account per household.
Can I signup from a shared or public computer/internet connection?
No, you need to signup from your own computer using your own internet connection. Since we do not allow multiple accounts from the same computer/ip address, you run the risk of disqualification since someone may have already joined the site using that connection.
Once I have completed the requirements, how do I get my free gift?
Once you have met all requirements, you will be able to submit your account for approval from the order page. We will check each account carefully to ensure it is completely legit, and then send out your order!
Do you allow multiple orders?
After you have ordered, had your account approved, you can order again. There is absolutely no limit on how many times you can order from us.
Do I need to complete any more offers after I order?
Not at all. After your order is approved and shipped, we will re-instate your credits, so all you will need to do is find more referrals!
How can Custom freebies afford to give away free gifts?
The Custom Freebies Network receives commissions from our advertisers for each new customer we bring them. These commissions are used to pay for your free gift.
Is This A Way To Get Rich Quick?
Simple answer – No.
It is, however, a way to make nice extra money, or to even do full time and make a decent income with time. It is not, however, something that will enable you to quit your day job.
But It’s Simple To Do, Right?
The premise is simple, spend a little money to make a larger amount of money. That part is easy, but it takes time and effort to learn the process. It doesn’t require a Degree in learning, but it does require common sense. You will also need a good amount of patience at times. A good work ethic always helps, too.
What Is Needed to Start?
First and foremost, a willingness to learn. Then you need a valid credit card (NOT a Pre-Paid Debit Card) and/or a paypal debit card, a validated PayPal account, which can be set up for free.
What is a trader?
A trader is someone who has a list of freebie sites that he/she is working on getting their selected prize for. These Traders list their trade offers and look for referrals to pay that will fill their required number of referrals needed for their chosen prize.
What is a Referral?
We all start out as referrals. A referral is someone who is getting paid to go to a trader’s site and complete a couple sponsor offers and “Go Green” for the trader.
What will I be doing?
You will be making trades with others on what are called “Freebie sites.”
There are tons of sites out there that give away lots of stuff like Plasma TV’s, Game systems, even cash.
So how does it work?
You sign up to a freebie site, select the prize you want, then you get the required number of referrals to complete sponsor offers. These are usually very inexpensive offers and are for trial periods usually. Once you get the needed number of referrals for your selected prize, you get that prize, it’s really that simple!
What is a referral link? Do I need one? How do I get one?
A referral linkĀ is a link to the site that includes a code that allows the referring person to get credit whenever someone joins the freebie site using that link.
It usually looks something like this:
http://cameras.customfreebies.com/index.php?ref=1234
If you are going to “go green” for someone else, you must use their link to access the site when you join in order for them to get credit for your green.
If you are paying others to go green for you, then you must provide them your referral link to access the site.
What is “Going Green?”
“Going green” is an industry term. It means that as a referral, you have completed all the needed requirements. It’s called “going green” because that is the color that the sites use to let the trader and the referral know when they have finished their requirements. This will all make much more sense as you read the trade walk-through tutorial on the forum.
Do I have to use my real name and information?
Yes. You must provide accurate information when signing up on the freebie site and the sponsor offers, otherwise your sign up will not be confirmed, you won’t receive your payment or item, and you will probably be banned from the site.
Once I complete an offer how long does it take to show as “green?”
It can take anywhere from a few minutes to several days. It depends on the offer your choose and how they report the status of your offer completion to the freebie site. Each site will clearly tell you how long it takes for each individual offer. Please note that “instant” does not mean instant in this industry.
When I sign up for an offer that is a free trial, do I have to keep it if I decide that I am not interested in the product/service, or can I cancel it?
In general, when possible you should always try to pick offers that you may be interested in keeping. You can find many that cost less than the going rate for greens, meaning that you can keep the offer and still make a profit.
You should only take offers that you are genuinely interested in at least trying. IF you find once you have tried the offer, that for whatever reason it does not suit you or appeal to you, you CAN cancel it. Remember, you can take these offers as gifts for others, as treats for your family, as something for yourself you would have never done if not paid to do so, etc. There are many offers you will be interested in!
Taking offers you have no interest in at all, simply to fulfill the needed requirements for the freebie site as a referral, then turning around and canceling them right away is FRAUD, and therefore illegal.
For that reason freebie sites will ban people that promote cancellations, or help people to cancel, and the topic is taboo on the forums.
If you must cancel, you should wait until near the end of the trial period, giving the product a fair try.
In the forums people talk about paying on “green” and paying on “approval”. What is the difference?
Paying on “green” means that as soon as you join the freebie site and complete the offers needed to meet the requirements, and your offer completion is reported to the site by the advertiser or sponsor, the referring person is obligated to pay you immediately. Once you have “gone green” then you should be paid by the trader you set up the trade with, if those were the trade terms you agreed to.
Paying on “approval” means that they do not pay you until they have found all the referrals they need for that site’s picked prize, and the site has approved them to get their payment or free item. This normally takes much longer and you will have to wait for your money, but it typically pays a little more.
Can I take the same offer more than once?
No. Once you choose an offer and complete it,that’s it. You can not take that offer again on any other site. Even should you cancel on one site, then take the offer again on another site, you will be red flagged and sited for fraud. Remember, Fraud is illegal, and therefore, you don’t want to take one of these offers, cancel it then take it again. That is very bad, and not allowed. It is also not allowed to take an offer for a service you have been a member of in the past. These companies are paying for “new leads” meaning that they want people who have never tried their product/service before.
What do I do if the offer(s) I take don’t credit?
If your computer is set properly to allow cookies and if you have followed the proper procedure for getting offers to credit, then you should have little problem. 9 times out of 10 the reason an offer did not credit properly is due to the fault of the referral, NOT the offer or the freebie site. IF, however, you feel that you are not at fault for the offer not crediting, then you MAY at some sites issue a MCR (Manual Credit Request). Many sites do not allow MCR’s anymore, though, as scammers and frauders got a hold of this industry and took advantage of the MCR system. Sadly, it did much damage to the industry and cost everyone a lot of money. SOME sites do still offer MCR’s though, and once again, check that site’s Terms and Conditions page to see if that site will take a MCR or not.
If they do not accept MCR’s, you may have to take another offer to make up for the one that did not credit. This does not happen frequently however, and should not be a constant issue for you.
Can I join an freebie site more than once?
No. They consider that “fraud.” You can only join each site once per household. That means that if you have two computers you can not join from both, and that your spouse or other family member can not join the same site if they have the same identifying information as you (email address, phone number, shipping address, ISP address, etc.)
